Job description

About us

Daltix's mission is to be the authority in providing the most accessible and curated data on every mass consumer retail product. We are obsessed about the quality of our data and thrive on making it work for our customers. We have a solid customer base of some of the largest companies active in retail in Europe, such as Colruyt Group, GfK and Danone.

Daltix is enabling big names in FMCG retail to make better decisions based on big data rather than gut-feeling. We collect, standardize and visualize data tailored to our client's needs on a daily basis, removing the data hassle on their side. We provide the tools at their fingertips with which they can measure the influence of (regional) competition, prices, promotions, products and assortments in an ever-changing dynamic market.

In order to ensure our delivery and promise to customers, we are looking for hands-on consultants who want to actively contribute to our plans and bring (scalable) value to our customers based on big data insights and reporting.

What you’ll be working on

  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL principles, and data modeling techniques.

  • Designing and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes.

  • Understanding customer needs and defining deliverables through workshops.

  • Translating customers' feedback into pragmatic technical solutions.

  • Developing and delivering insights and solutions to create value based on Daltix’ tools, analysis & consultancy together with your co-workers.

  • Quickly iterating on solutions delivered to customers in order to identify the next products that Daltix can offer.

  • Helping define the long-term offering of Daltix by spotting opportunities at customers. This will require working together with product owners, data engineers and data scientists on a regular basis.

  • Help Sales people by providing samples and help in scoping of projects.

  • Finding fun or interesting nuggets in our data that our marketing department can use as examples in their communications.

  • Coaching of existing customers.

  • Providing answers to questions regarding data and tooling to existing customers.

  • Safeguarding and assessing data quality in order to keep the content of our deliveries top-notch.

  • Monitoring and safeguarding the running of reports and dashboards so that our customers can always rely on them.

  •  Technical skills: Proficiency in SQL (Snowflake as a plus) and Proficiency in Python &    Pandas, Jupyter Notebooks, and Git.

  • Experience in business analytics and handling large datasets through previous work or internships.

  • BI skills: Experience BI tools (Tableau, Qlikview, Power BI) are a plus.
